ABOUT:Born in 1972 as a Flemish/Wallonian blend, i attended some sculpture and photography classes during 4 years of Royal Academy ('94-'98). Forgot the whole shabang for some years due to a lack of time because of the geeky IT-job i dropped in. But a year ago it started to itch damn hard. So my first blog saw the light, and a second one, and a photoblog. On the other hand i also have quite some time to spend with my 3 women; well 2 of em are offspring, 3 years & almost 5 (May '09). They have their own blog as a window upon world. Oh yeh, flawijn is actually a Dutch dialect word for a pillow-slip, sort of nice personal memory from my childhood.
THIS:The blog is in Dutch and just a scrapbook of things that go through my mind; no more, no less. The first bunch of pictures on the photoblog have been taken analog from end of '93 till '99 or so. Those were self-processed at that time and recently scanned with a HP high-end scanner from a friend (tnx P!), together with some old family-shots that can be found at the gallery. Only a few of them were post-processed, just some contrast and color-adjustments. Rest of the pictures were taken digitally, more recently offcourse, and are mostly post-processed in one way or another. I don't want to spoil the fun of knowing what exactly was done, but as i'm rather lazy, i don't always add comment or how-to's on posted pictures. But feel free to comment, or contact me if you'ld wish to know more about a picture or anything else! I will always try to reply, and please do not hesitate to say what you REALLY think.
